3 New Workouts to Try in 2019

Trying to maintain a consistent workout schedule can be tougher than expected. Doing the same workout over and over becomes tedious, it becomes hard to find the motivation to stay on the path to success.  Switching up your workout every so often can help combat this problem keeping you interested enough, so that you can reach a sweat on a consistent basis. By switching up your workouts you also keep your body guessing, which is key to achieving the results you want to see. Below are three new workout trends for you to try in 2019.

Aptly named, this workout uses a barre, similar to the bar that ballet dancers use to hold onto, but you don’t need any dance experience to join. Barre classes are low-impact, but you can expect to work up a good sweat thanks to the combination of strength and flexibility moves. This workout is targeted towards people that are looking to effectively lose weight and lean out. Classes are generally an hour or less, making this a great workout for anyone with a busy schedule.

Aerial Yoga

Originating in California, aerial yoga combines traditional yoga poses, pilates, and dance while using a hammock to remain suspended in the air – just like an acrobat in Cirque du Soleil. The hammock acts like a swing or soft trapeze, supporting the hips for forward and back bends. Yoga postures which some find difficult to do on the ground may be easier in mid-air using the hammock, and the specific hammock moves add variety to your workout. Yoga is promoted as benefiting emotional, psychological and spiritual health making this a great workout to add to your routine.
